Why We Call Him "Cry Cry"

In my attempt to be photo savvy and take the plunge with Aperture, I have apparently done something very bad.  I, for some reason, can't post new photos on my blog.  That's why I love the Apple Store.  I'm not even going to try to figure it out.  I'll just let them figure it out, although I don't have my appointment until next Tuesday.  Therefore, I declare this retro photo week!

Subject I:
Why We Call Him "Cry Cry"

The End.

A little of this, a little of that.

The holidays are over.  Christmas decorations are put up.  It's cold outside.  School is in full force.  Normal life has resumed.  I was dreading it, but after a couple days in, I was surprised with how much I like what we normally do.  It suites me, even the making of massive amounts of pb & j.  For these little guys, even the mundane is sweet.
Assembly line lunch preparation for a picnic on the front lawn.

The picnic.

Poor little girl.  Couldn't find any girl stuff to play with at our house.
But she may run for vice-president one day.

Math while I make dinner.

Fun with Collages.

These photos are from when we celebrated Christmas with Papa & Tandy on New Year's Eve.  As you can tell, we ALL got something we wanted and were quite delighted.  I was messing around with these collages last night on picasa trying to make our Christmas card, which will now be a Valentine.  I realize I need to stop trying to get something done for the holiday that has already past, and plan for the future.  So a Valentine it will be.  Anyway, she has a lot of good tutorials on how to take advantage of picasa.  I'm not sure I'm as sold as she is, as there were certain things I couldn't quite figure out, but it's FREE.  You just can't beat free.

Playing.

Experimenting tonight with picnik, a feature of picasa.  I am looking for a way to print collages cheaper than an online service like shutterfly or tinyprints would do.  I figured if I could make my own and print it off at Costco as a 5x7, it might be cheaper than ordering a photo card.  Ideas, anyone?  You all had so many good ideas about books... thought I would pick your brains about something else!

An oldie, but goodie.

They say it better... Boys & Reading.

This article came out in the Wall Street Journal recently.  It's a good read, especially for this mother who is very interested in having her boys be readers.

Chris is somewhere in the middle of The Chronicles of Narnia series.  He reads to them at night when they are all tucked in their beds.  I am reading them Old Yeller in the afternoons.  Anyone have any boy reading suggestions?  I have a few books stockpiled that are up next, but am always looking for recommendations!

Beautiful Cry Cry.

He's my favorite subject right now.

Something about those dark eyes and blonde hair.

And dimples.

How he will look at me when he's 13.

"Please, Mom.  Leave me alone."

Ever playful.

Nap hair.

Love you.

They say it better... Bible Reading Plans

For those of you who are (like me) looking for a fresh start this year in your time in the Word, I thought this was an excellent resource.
